The stylish MEElectronics Sport-Fi Series S6P sweat-resistant in-ear earphones produce a great sound with deep bass no matter the music type. You can expect clear dynamic sound for pure listening enjoyment. They feature sound isolation that blocks out external ambient noise such as wind, lawnmowers, and traffic. This allows for listening at lower volumes so you won’t damage your hearing. Keep this in mind when biking since these are probably best kept to trail riding from a safety standpoint.
Memory WireThe S6P’s implement what they call Memory Wire that wraps around and conforms to your ear for a secure locked-in fit. The idea behind the technology is to eliminate the chances of them falling out - even when sweating and jostling with physical activity. We found it worked quite well. The only hang up we had was fitting the earphones to our ears. It takes a bit to get them just right - even after practice. While removing and putting them back on again can be a chore, once they are on the fit is great and comfortable.
ComfortSpeaking of comfort, they fit nicely under all the helmets we tested them against. Sunglasses on the other hand took some adjustment. The Memory Wire unfortunately interfered with where our eyewear arms rested. We didn’t have a problem changing our eyewear placement - just took some getting used to allowing them to ride a bit higher.
RemoteThe remote that sits just a few inches from your chin allows you to easily control your media by adjusting the volume slider. With compatible devices you can even play, pause, and skip tracks using the remote button. It also allows you to take phone calls using the integrated microphone - a welcomed feature.
AccessoriesThe S6P’s come packed with several accessories that seem to have gathered as much thought as the headphones themselves.
To get the proper fit, 6 pairs of ear tips are included. The tip that came attached was a bit large for our ears, but once we found the right one they were a lot more comfortable. This also increased the sound quality since less ambient noise was allowed to pass through.
The included carrying case comes color matched which makes it easier to find in your briefcase or backpack. But it is still compact enough to fit nicely in a purse or jacket pocket. A loop on the back of the case makes it possible to attach to your belt.
The armband is also a welcomed accessory where again, MEElectronics didn’t skimp on design. The adjustable armband fits all but the extreme arm sizes and provides a secure hold for any media player up to 4.9”. The clear front allows device visibility and operation. A hidden key slot lends itself nicely to a key or folded $20 bill.
The included extension cable is nice addition. The standard cable is quite short - perfect for use with your armband so wires don’t interfere with activity. But when more cable is needed, the tangle resistant extension easily snaps into place and you can stick your phone or media in your pocket.
Final ThoughtsNow our favorite part ... The performance of these earphones rival that of some pretty tough competition such as Bose. But they come at a fraction of the price. For $59.99, you get the earphones carrying case, armband, cable extension, and 6 ear tips. They come in either Green/Black (pictured) or Red/Black combinations.
